Mather LifeWays Ranked 16th on Chicago Tribune 100 Top Workplace List

Evanston, Ill. (November 18, 2010) –Mather LifeWays was named one of the Top 100 Places to Work in the Chicago area based on an employee survey conducted by an independent organization. Mather LifeWays, a not-for-profit organization that has enhanced the lives of older adults for nearly 60 years by creating Ways to Age WellSM, is ranked 16th among mid-size companies (250-999 employees). It is the sole Evanston employer and one of only 10 not-for-profit organizations to be recognized in the top 100 on the list.

In surveys administered by a third party firm, employees anonymously shared why they enjoyed working at Mather LifeWays:

The Chicago Tribune, via a contracted workplace survey specialist, surveyed employees of over 180 companies to identify and rank companies for the Top 100 Workplaces list. Divided into three categories: small (fewer than 250 employees), medium (250-999), and large (1,000 and above), surveyed companies employ 212,756 people in the Chicago area. 128,430 Chicagoland employees received surveys, and 67,665 responded to a set of statements about their feelings toward their workplace focused on issues such as the direction of the company, execution, and conditions.
